Nokia updating Windows Phone 8 Lumias with low-power Bluetooth

Nokia is adding Bluetooth four.0 Lower Energy (LE) to each Windows Phone 8 device it has prepared, with an imminent update adding help for the low-power wireless technologies.

Bluetooth Lower Energy is a connection standard utilized by new low-power accessories, like smart watches, heart rate monitors plus individual activity trackers. The wireless chipset inside each Windows Phone 8 Nokia Lumia supports the tech, yet Nokia hasn't enabled it only yet.

With the latest Amber update, Nokia flipped about Bluetooth four.0 LE help for the Lumia 520, 620, 625 plus 720, as well as the future Black update may extend the help to the whole Windows Phone 8 Lumia family. It's probably which Bluetooth LE is accessible from release in almost any future Nokia Lumia equipment, like the 1520 plus 2520.

There's no set date for the Nokia Black update's launch really yet, though. According to The Verge, Black usually add a limited alternative qualities, including a customisable lock screen which will show more notifications.
