Gaming accessory maker Nyko has revealed a selection of new upcoming peripherals for three different video game systems.
Announced at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show, Nyko will be releasing for Sony's PlayStation 4 three new accessories. The company will also be putting out one new accessory each for Sony's PlayStation Vita and Microsoft's Xbox One.
Nyko's PS4 lineup includes the Intercooler for PlayStation 4. The device represents Nyko's first next-gen version of its Intercooler line. The Intercooler for PS4 is designed to pull hot air out from the PS4 console itself and attaches to the back of the PlayStation 4 console. It's scheduled for release this spring for a MSRP of $25.
The second PS4 accessory is Nyko's PowerPak for PlayStation 4. The company says it adds up to twice the battery capacity to the DualShock 4. It attaches to the back of the controller. Also scheduled for a spring release, it will sell for $20.
A third-party cable, called the Charge Link, will also be released by Nyko. It measures eight feet in length and is designed for simultaneous play and gamepad charging. This item will be released for both PS4 and Xbox One and will retail for $10 when it comes out later this month.
The final accessory announced by Nyko is an updated version of its Power Grip for PS Vita. Re-designed for the new slim form-factor of the PS Vita 2000 series, the Power Grip adds a reported twice the battery life to the portable console as well as ergonomic grips. Utilizing a standard Micro USB port, the Power Grips are easily rechargeable from the same cables used to charge the PS Vita. Nyko says the new Power Grip accessory will be available in North America once Sony sets a formal launch date is set for the new PS Vita version. This device will sell for $20 once it launches.
In addition to the gaming accessories, Nyko also announced a mobile phone charger compatible with the Galaxy S 4, Nexus 5, and other Qi-enabled phones.
